Terms of Use.

1. About RedFetch

RedFetch is an independent tool that receives a RedGIFs URL, queries technical information associated with the media and presents the HD and/or SD versions reported by the source, together with size, duration, preview and public post metadata (such as creator, post date, views and likes) when available.

RedFetch is not affiliated with, sponsored by, operated by or endorsed by RedGIFs. “RedGIFs” and other third-party marks belong to their respective owners.

RedFetch uses the name “RedGIFs” only descriptively to identify the source platform and technical compatibility. This use does not imply authorization, partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.

2. Age requirement

RedFetch is intended exclusively for people aged 18 or older, because links and previews queried by users may point to adult content hosted by third parties.

3. How the service works

• the user provides a redgifs.com/watch/… or /ifr/… URL;
• the backend validates the URL and queries the RedGIFs technical interface using a temporary token obtained by the server itself;
• only HD/SD URLs returned by the technical response are accepted; RedFetch does not guess MP4 files from HTML. When available in the same response, creator, post date, views and likes may be displayed as informational metadata;
• the backend may check remote file size with HEAD or Range and fetch a preview image for temporary conversion to a data URI;
• when HD or SD is opened, the browser requests the file from the host reported by RedGIFs, not from a file hosted by RedFetch;
• displaying a direct URL, HD/SD version, preview or other technical data only reflects the technical result located at that time and does not constitute authorization, a license or consent from RedGIFs or any rights holder to download, copy, republish, redistribute, sell or otherwise exploit the media;
• Batch mode accepts up to 100 links per operation, keeps concurrency limited to avoid bursts of requests and loads batch previews on demand as cards approach the visible area;
• POST /api/redgifs requests are subject to an automatic limit configured in Vercel infrastructure. The current limit is 150 requests per minute per IP address; exceeding it may result in HTTP 429 Too Many Requests. The value may be adjusted to preserve service security and availability;
• “GitHub Web — 25 MiB” only compares, in the browser, sizes already obtained with the per-file limit documented by GitHub for adding files to repositories through the web interface; it sends no files or queries to GitHub;
• local ID/creator search, filters, sorting, summaries and the custom size limit use results already present in the browser; the custom limit is an organizational criterion and does not change the separate “GitHub Web — 25 MiB” option. Missing sizes and metadata are not invented or classified as known;
• Portable history is optional and browser-based: users may import a .log history file to recognize previously queried IDs, restore those IDs to the queue in future searches, remove or skip known items in the queue and export cumulative .log revisions. New records may preserve optional snapshots of creator, post date, views and likes without making those fields mandatory or breaking older files. Revisions in the same family use v1, v2, v3, etc.; optional name and description can travel with the family inside the file. This feature records queries, not proof of download. Imported files and optional metadata are not sent to the backend by this feature; users control copies stored on their own devices;
• copy and export actions use only the results displayed at the moment of the action and respect the current sort order; TXT files are created in the browser and record the filter and sort used. Presentation mode applies Strong blur and hides visible IDs, creator, post date, views and likes, but it does not prevent access to content by other means and is not an access-control or age-assurance mechanism.

4. Third-party content and availability

Videos, images, titles, identifiers and other queried materials belong to third parties and remain under the control of the source platform and/or their respective rights holders. Those materials may involve rights held by the uploader, RedGIFs and/or other rights holders or licensors, as applicable. RedFetch does not publish the material on the source platform and cannot delete a file from RedGIFs servers.

The service depends on external systems. URLs, APIs, response formats, access rules, availability and RedGIFs policies may change without notice. RedFetch may stop locating certain content, limit or suspend features, or make an identifier unavailable after review when necessary for security, maintenance, changes to source-platform rules, a relevant request from a rights holder or a legal obligation.

“GitHub Web — 25 MiB” is informational only, is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub, and reflects public documentation reviewed on the date these Terms were updated. GitHub limits and rules may change, and other upload methods have different limits.

5. Permitted use and user responsibility

You must use RedFetch only lawfully and in a manner compatible with third-party rights. The fact that media is technically accessible does not mean you have permission to copy, republish, sell, redistribute or otherwise exploit it.

Where applicable to access to or use of RedGIFs and its features, the RedGIFs Terms of Service and RedGIFs Acceptable Use Policy continue to apply independently of these Terms. RedFetch does not expand, replace or modify permissions granted by the source platform or by rights holders.

You must not use RedFetch to:

• access, store, share or facilitate sexual material involving children or teenagers;
• distribute intimate or sexual material without the consent of the people involved;
• infringe copyright, image rights, privacy or other third-party rights;
• commit fraud, harassment, stalking, extortion, blackmail, invasion of privacy or any other unlawful activity;
• attempt to take down the service, exploit vulnerabilities or deliberately overload RedFetch or third-party services;
• circumvent access controls, authentication, age verification, technical limitations or other measures imposed by the source platform, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts or data;
• artificially manipulate views, rankings, recommendations or other platform metrics through bots, automated scripts, click farms or similar means;
• commercially exploit third-party content through RedFetch without the necessary authorization or use the service to circumvent commercial restrictions imposed by the source platform.

6. Copyright and other rights

RedFetch does not grant the user any license, ownership or other right over queried media. Displaying a direct URL, HD/SD version, preview or technical metadata does not grant any additional authorization over the work or file. Users are responsible for determining whether they have permission, a license, a legal exception or another legitimate basis for their intended use.

If a request seeks removal of content from the source servers, it should be submitted to RedGIFs through the platform’s official reporting, complaint or support mechanisms. RedFetch does not control or remove content hosted by RedGIFs.

Separately, if a complaint concerns how content is presented or made accessible inside RedFetch, the responsible party may evaluate making that identifier unavailable within RedFetch, subject to technical and legal limits. That action does not remove or alter the content on the source platform.

7. Privacy

RedFetch information processing is described in the Privacy Policy. It explains, among other things, Vercel's infrastructure role, connections to RedGIFs and what happens when you email the project contact address.

8. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted availability, permanent compatibility with RedGIFs, HD/SD availability for every link or complete absence of failures.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be waived, including rights under Brazilian data-protection law and, where applicable, consumer-protection law.

9. Changes

These Terms may be updated to reflect technical, legal or operational changes. The revision date will be shown at the top of this page. Material changes to data processing will also be reflected in the Privacy Policy.

RedFetch may also adapt, limit or suspend features when the source platform changes its rules, technical controls or access conditions, or when necessary for security, protection of rights or compliance with a legal obligation.

10. Governing law and contact

RedFetch is administered from Brazil and these Terms are interpreted under Brazilian law, subject to mandatory rules and applicable jurisdiction requirements.
